Recommended Resources

The JED Foundation

JED’s Guiding Principles are a shared value system that guides how we show up with — and for — each other and how we work on behalf of our constituents. We believe that the critical work we do to protect mental health, create connection, and build community starts with how we treat one another every day.

National Eating Disorder Assoc.

The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) is the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders. NEDA supports individuals and families affected by eating disorders, and serves as a catalyst for prevention, cures and access to quality care.

Substance Abuse Services Admin.

SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance use and mental illness on America's communities. SAMHSA provides leadership and resources to advance mental health and substance use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery services, in order to improve individual, community, and public health.

Self Care

Even simple self care can help rejuvenate your mental health. Taking a bath, making yourself some tea, cleaning your room, and even taking a nap can help you take a break from the stress of life.

Get Active

Studies have shown that even 30 minutes of physical activity a day can help improve your mental health and getting outside and reconnecting with nature is an excellent way to give yourself a mental break from what you're going through.

Journaling

Journaling is one of the simplest ways to help your mental health. Take the time to write down what you're grateful for today. Whether it's one thing or many things. If you're struggling with negative thoughts, do a brain dump and jot them all down. Moving them to paper will help free up space in your head that you can use to improve your mental health.

Find Your Butte

Whether you're checking off the first thing on your to do list or finding your Butte like our friends at Butte Brand, do your best to get started on a project or a goal. Even better if you can see it all the way to completion.
